Hands-on experience characterizing mechanical, rheological and surface physical properties of materials such as polymers, biological systems, thin films, composites and soft materials using equipment such as atomic force microscopy (AFM), rheometers and UTMs.

Job Specification: The Project Scientist will be in charge of the following equipment at the IITH SATHI-CISCoM facility: (1) Atomic Force Microscope, (2) Magneto-optic Kerr (MOKE) Microscope and (3) Rheometer. The job will entail maintaining the equipment in good working condition (via periodic calibration, and interfacing with the manufacturer for maintenance and service visits), conducting 1 training for new users, conducting sample measurement for user requests and interfacing with the rest of the SATHI-CISCoM Committee to maintain the facility in a healthy, accessible working condition
